Chris Vermeer
Owner/Lead Instructor
Chris has been teaching firearms training for over a decade and holds multiple instructor certifications by various organizations and has more than 1,000 hours of commercial training. He has had the honor of being trained and mentored by some of the biggest names in the industry. His expertise goes beyond basic shooting; he is passionate about everyday carry, advanced firearm techniques, effective fighting tactics and mindset development rather than mere marksmanship. In addition to his firearms background, he was a Wilderness First Responder, rescue scuba diver and is an avid hunter with a deep passion for the outdoors. He mentors at the annual women’s javelina hunting camp, where he shares his knowledge and experience with others.
Chris also serves on a church’s security team, demonstrating his commitment to community service
AUSTIN KILLMER
Firearm and Medical Instructor
Austin is a dedicated firearms enthusiast with extensive training across the United States, having learned from some of the industry's top instructors. His experience includes working with one of the largest training companies in the country, where he honed his skills and knowledge. In addition to his firearms expertise, Austin graduated from EMT school and served as a volunteer firefighter in Arizona. He has also contributed to the community by tutoring the EMT program at Pima Community College. As a certified NRA instructor, he is committed to promoting safety and proficiency in firearm handling.
Tim Klüg
Lead Medical Instructor
Tim brings over 20 years of distinguished service as a captain and paramedic with a local fire department in Arizona to his teaching role. His extensive experience includes serving as a paramedic program director, where he developed and delivered comprehensive training programs for aspiring paramedics. With a robust background in critical medical areas such as Trauma, Head Injuries, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Airway Management, Hazardous Materials Response, and Technical Rescue Technician training, Tim is well-equipped to provide students with a thorough and practical understanding of emergency medical services. In addition to his medical expertise, he is a commercially rated pilot, adding a unique perspective to his instruction.
Alison Horner
Medical Instructor
Alison is a licensed and certified athletic trainer, a healthcare provider specializing in emergency care, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal and athletic injuries. She has been practicing for 7+ years.
Credentials/Certs: MS, AT, ATC, BLS, Red Cross CPR/First Aid/AED Instructor
DeWane Tabbot
Hunting and Fishing Instructor
With a background spanning over 50 years in hunting and fishing across Arizona and the broader western United States, including Alaska, DeWane brings a wealth of experience to future students. His dedication to promoting safe and responsible outdoor practices is evident through his 26+ years as a Hunter Safety Instructor, complemented by 30+ years of expertise as a fly-fishing instructor in Arizona. Additionally, DeWane held a Level 1 Instructor certification from the NRA for shotgun coaching, as well as recognition as a coach in the Scholastic Clay Target Program. Join DeWane to learn from a seasoned expert who is passionate about sharing his knowledge and skills in the great outdoors.
